Last Few Pages

I will add "yes" to the end
of every sentence
just so that you know
that I never meant "No"
Talk about the water flowing under the bridge
making mistakes and us getting old

I would delay reading the last few pages
so that the story never ends
and the characters never go
but to what purpose
Its about time to throw the stone
and bring down the hawk
for it should not be allowed to soar
